Ashley Davis

I'm a staff software engineer, open source enthusiast and speaker.

I tend to focus on cryptography, security and platform engineering in Go, although I've also got extensive experience with Python, C++, AWS and more.

I'm probably best known for my work as a maintainer of the open source cert-manager project, which is a CNCF graduated tool for X.509 certificates in Kubernetes.

My main interests cover several areas:

  •   security and encryption (TLS, public key cryptography, workload identity)
  •   open source
  •   low-level programming (bare metal RISC-V & ARM)
  •   platform engineering (cloud, build systems, Kubernetes, continuous integration)

A lot of what I've done is publicly available on GitHub ; I hope some of it is helpful for you!
